Week #12-Tough Art/ Building Tunnel Prototype #2
…from weekend of August 29 & 30, 2009
Moving right into Prototype #2 of tunnels… adding clothing, smaller fabric strips, etc… The plan is to have 5 structures to test on Monday…. One large (about 4 1/2 ft), medium (about 4 ft), 2 smalls (3 ft) and 1 extra small (2 ft). I added extra dowels to the large and medium structures to hang clothing from… the clothing is fringed.
It’ll be like crawling through a car wash…. without the water or suds. I once read a children’s book about a really messy kid riding going through a car wash to get cleaned-up. I always liked riding through the automatic car wash…still do.
Braids formed from the same type of fabric on the front and back of the structure is braided. The braid is about 5-6 times longer then the structure’s height. Then it is added to the front of the structure over the fabric strips.
For the red structure I just have braids on the front without fabric strips. Not sure which I like best yet.
